Medical Stop Loss Captive
Developed a reinsurance structure, including determining initial rates and capital contributions, for a new medical stop loss captive for public entity health pools to enable these organizations to share risk to a greater degree than any of them could retain individually.

COVID-19 Projection Model
In April 2020, developed a COVID-19 model that provided a range of estimates for potential workers compensation claims arising from first responders insured by public entity pooling organizations and partnered with these organizations to help them prepare for meetings with their state regulators related to this exposure.

Capital Adequacy Assessment
Performed an annual capital adequacy assessment for a risk pool on 1 and 3 year time horizon. Based on the results of the assessment, Chris championed its implementation across a variety of business functions and board policies, including recommending new investment and capital policies that were adopted by the board.

● We can “score” all workers compensation claims based on each one’s risk of becoming a high-cost claim.
